MESSAGE FROM THE BUSINESS OFFICE

Stay Connected with RSS Year-Round

While many of us have returned to our campuses, research projects, and the start of a new academic year, RSS continues to support members through programs, leadership opportunities, professional recognition, and valuable resources throughout the year.

As part of our transition into the 2027 meeting cycle, the RSS website has been updated with new content and information for the coming year. We encourage members to visit the website regularly, as it remains the best source for important announcements, deadlines, leadership opportunities, and annual meeting updates. The 2026 Annual Meeting program and photo gallery have also been archived in the Past Meetings section, providing a lasting record of this year's conference and accomplishments.

The coming months will bring several opportunities to engage with the Society. On October 1, submissions will open for RSS Awards and Endowments, offering a chance to recognize outstanding scholarship, service, and contributions to the field. Beginning October 6, members may also submit nominations for the 2027-2028 RSS election cycle, helping shape the future leadership of the Society.

Whether you participate through a committee, Research and Interest Group, annual meeting activities, awards programs, leadership service, or simply by staying informed, your involvement helps strengthen the RSS community. We look forward to sharing more opportunities for engagement in the months ahead and encourage you to check the website often for the latest updates.
